Julia gets her ears pierced
In our family our daughters get to choose if they would like to get their ears pierced when they turn 8 year
s old. Julia decided that, YES, would like to get her ears pierced. She wanted the little green sparkly studs for her May birthday, but both kinds were out. So she settled for some little diamond looking ones. Julia was a little afraid of the pain, but survived with no tears.

And we even got a smile afterwards!

Cardinals Game
Last night we went to the Cardinals baseball game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Cardinals won! Most importantly though, Emily and Julia got to go on the field in a pre game ceremony for their school, Truman elementary, to be honored as a School of Character for their service learning project to help Odyssey Academy in Galveston, TX.
We went down on the metro and arrived early to meet the other students and teachers that were going on the field. Then Mike and I went up into the stands and waited to take photos. The mascot, Fredbird, pretended to eat Julia's head and played with her hair. It was fun to watch on the big screen.
Here are some photos.
Before the game.
On the field.
On the field, but taken of the big screen.

Enjoying the game.
