These photos show the girls excited about the first day and getting on the bus. Then getting bored as they wait for the bus, then finally getting on the bus. The last photo is a fuzzy one as I ran out the front
The transition back to school has been interesting. We have more time in the morning (bus picks them up at 8:25), but less time in the afternoon (bus drops them off at 4:20). They used to get home at 3 in Galveston so they had a lot more time for snack, play and homework. Now, with less afternoon time we have a short snack, right to homework, and if there is time, then a little play before bedtime routine.
And, next week the girls start their first singing lessons. They both decided they wanted to try singing this year. So we are going to try it. With the bus coming so late, I will be picking them up from school on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so that we can make it to singing class without too much rushing. This will be another transition to get used to. The start of school is always an adventure in managing schedules.
